This year’s book club is being organized by Maheshi, Audrey, and Ben. Helen and Erin started it/organized it in 2022-2023. In previous sessions, we have discussed the following: 1) EDIA issues in universities in particular (An Inclusive Academy by Abigail J. Stewart and Virginia Valian), 2) issues that women face both inside and outside of academia (Stop Fixing Women by Catherine Fox), 3) EDIA issues faced by people of colour (Black, brown, bruised: How racialised STEM education stifles innovation by Ebony Omotola McGee & Sharks Don’t Sink: Adventures of a Rogue Shark Scientist by Jasmine Graham), and 4) EDIA issues faced by Indigenous Peoples (Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer).
